WHY DO WE CARRY WORKER’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE:

One major reason that some Tree Care Companies give you a better price than others is because they
Do Not Carry Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
Most people do not know that the tree industry is one of the most dangerous professions.

Due to the nature of working near power lines, extreme heights and with dangerous tools, tree work carries a large risk of serious injury and death. For your protection and peace of mind, it is essential that you understand how G & G Lawn Care & Tree Service works to protect the health of your trees, but also to protect you from potential liabilities.

A big misconception is All Insurance is created equal.

Insurance in the tree industry is very expensive, especially Workers’ Compensation.

A majority of tree companies do not carry proper insurance. Some will even stretch the truth to convince you everything is covered when they are not actually properly covered.

We recommend that all our customers do research and get certificates of insurance from the company’s insurance company or call them directly to confirm that the policy is still in effect and they have Worker’s Compensation insurance at the least. A lot of tree companies will pay the first payment necessary to receive their insurance certificate, their certificate may state the policy is in effect for one year, but would be cancelled due to non payment. Do not be fooled by this.

Without Worker’s Compensation Insurance, tree companies are still legally required to take responsibility for workers injuries, but you as the property owner is next in line. If the contractor you hire cannot pay all of the cost, you must pay.
